School Lessons の raison d'etre

i may forget all that i learnt in my subjects, but i'll not forget WHY i learnt them. The Purpose.

shit!

if man is motivated by either pain or pleasure, the reason why our kids are seeking so much short-term pleasures in their video games and tv shows is because they are experiencing so much PAIN in their LEARNING!

dammit, i can't wait to share with them what i learnt.. time's a passing..

all in all

if love ultimately is what endures, and my actions are the only physical proof that Man will continue to be inspired from throughout their time in this world, then let LOVE and my ACTIONS come TOGETHER as ONE.

my words may fade in memories, but my actions will either be a concrete inspiration or a constant warning to the men living after me.

how ashamed would i be to my sons and daughters if i were not a man preaching what he practices?

01 Nov daily celebrations

Lesson

  • i shall judge no one by their character, unless it is essential for us to be associated for some time. i shall judge by his actions and mistakes, to inspire and warn me.

instant gratification?

quick, instant pleasures are usually short-lived.
the wonder of a long-term goal is that it satisfies you throughout your life.

31 OCT daily celebration: the PRICE of this BLOG... and GRATEFULNESS

GRATEFULNESS.. ALL THIS TIME

dr wang, for your dedication in furthering generations of business leaders in accounting, i'll not fail you.

prof gary chan, for your love of the law, and your willingness to teach me the essential fundamentals of what governs peace and stability in the business world, thank you.

mr tom estad, beauty and simplicity in the business language was what i was always have been gunning for as a poly grad, because i believe that the world is practical and no one has time to read A grade literatures.

prof ma kheng min, thank you for teaching me the importance and essential existence of a leader and the synergy in a team. teamwork not only for goals, but for the ultimate feeling of satisfaction through success and accomplishment, not found in a one-man-show.

for the people who has faith in me, for the kids i love, for my loved ones, for God:

i shall not default on my deadlines anymore,
until and unless something of possibly more importance arises.

117 blog posts in 60 days. is that passion or what? didnt exactl realize it though i took note. awesome!

in the past two months, i have dwelt in the deep recesses of my mind, revisiting my past, my beliefs and values. I've done some hardcore re-wiring to them and gain control of my emotions to my advantage.

and you, the reader, have the fortune of reading most of what flowed through my mind.

thanks to NLP, i'm now a much more powerful being than before. linking that to God, i've always mentally and emotionally limited myself to who i truely can be. i believe NLP is essentially needed to remind this world once again of how much they can truly do with what they ALREADY NATURALLY have: one of it being the incredible brain; the centre of our emotions, beliefs, and values. from which we link it to our spirit's willpower and cenre of consciousness.

the PRICE paid is not cheap in itself, but seen in the light of what i've set my destiny to be, it truly is small. of course the pain is there, and the consequences impactful on my SMU dream.

got my results back today for BLAW

D+

felt bad, felt horrible of course. prob the old me would contemplate suicide, haha.
i take this like a man, and i'm responsible for it 100%. i was still incubating much fear whilst thinking about revising it. afraid i wouldn't understand, afraid the amount of information would be too much for me. and instead of doing something about it, i chose to let it dominate me.

this is the consequence of not meeting a deadline, and i paid for it in full. i've gone past my deadlines many many times, not giving my organiser the respect it deserves.

additionally, i have defaulted on my financial accounting homework. more than 10 weeks to be sure. much regret, stress and worry passed through my mind.

i can go on but i'll cut off now.
I'll never lose to a bunch of people who blames everything on fate, the environment, other people and other crap! -Lenz

the human WILLPOWER

"your faith, then, does not rest on human wisdom but on God's power" -1 cor 2:1-5

i strongly have begun to believe, that the willpower of human, the force which brings many successful people to where they are, the belief that they can, is not based on human logic, worldly facts or some proven science. it is simply from their heart.

it all starts from the question: "do you believe you can? are you willing to do whatever it takes?"

and the biggest motivation from that is this: LOVE. for what they do, for who they are doing it for.

not from logical human wisdom then, but on the natural strong willpower of the human being, created by God. feeling ah, feeling.. u know what i mean?

the PURPOSE of my DECLARATION

although I made the declaration to the guys in my email the other time, I couldn't yet pinpoint why I wanted to be study in a Uni and be its Valedictorian and be a billionaire. I mean, why should I need a degree if I already have a diploma with merit, and I've already decided to be an independent businessman? And why do I need all this money for if I'm not really going to use all of it? Surely an expensive house or car would be in the millions at most right?

Then in mass today, I finally thought it through and linked it back to my mission in Life. A toddler in front of me in the arms of her guardian connected my cause of action.

I'm not here for a resume, I'm not here to train as an impressive employee. I'm not here to train to be a entrepreneur or a budding businessman. What I'm really here for and excites me everyday is that I can get to learn about things relevant to building a business and being a better thinking and thoughtful person. And that's not the main point.

When I looked into the eyes of the toddler, I reminded myself that I didn't want another child in this country, or in any other school of this world, to suffer in studying, like I did when I was younger. I can't bear to see another child having such great stress and difficulty in studying, when learning is really so fun and easy and the brain was MADE to learn.

To cut things short, where I got the simple logic from is Tony Buzan. He believes that learning can really be interesting and fun, and after reading through his strategies for studying, I couldn’t agree more. I wanna advocate his strategies throughout Singapore's system first. And the position of Valedictorian will get people to listen to me, easier and better.

As for an eventual billionaire, I understand that money is the inevitably the resource of my power to change the world. I've decided that my mission in life is to bring down the man-made disaster of the third-world countries: Poverty. No child born into this world should be deprived of the basic needs, and they should be focusing on their education instead of struggling for that meal everyday by working at their young age.

So, I'm studying for the urban kids and working for the poor children. Haha. Love, protect and help them I guess. After al, my Lord said to love my neighbour as myself. No way I'm gonna let my son starve and be under so much unnecessary stress from doing what the human being was made to do: learning.
