tell our kids! learning: the power to leverage

Learning
primary, secondary, high school, polytechnic, university, masters, courses, options trading, NLP, yada yada..

Outcome
Enlighten our children the ways to
  1. survive in this world
  2. analyse facts for useful applications in jobs and life
  3. further the horizons of knowledge and wisdom of Man > apply > better life (e.g. inventions)

Purpose

by enlightening our children with the wonderful knowledge Man has discovered himself over the years to make his Life more purposeful and useful with regards to the people around him and his environment, we have cut down their need to learn to survive in this world independently by hundreds of years!

the essence of Man's discoveries and inventions (e.g. languages, machines, arts, etc) has been compressed into books and organised courses so that students may understand the World better in a short period of time! this is the leveraging power of schools!

"I embark on huge projects to acheive my dreams (x years), I make mistakes (+ x years!), I tried upteen times (++ x years!), I finally discover (+++ x years), I organise & fine-tune into books (++++ x years!)

I teach & you learn the essense of my discovery to be on par with my level and standard of thinking (X weeks/days!?!?).

Time difference to be WHERE I AM = XX YEARS - XX weeks/daysXXX YEARS!!"

e.g. if i took 6 years to learn english, do u think it took 6 years to invent this system to communicate and make it acceptable worldwide (almost)? no way!

**if we can share with children the wonderful meaning of this, that they are saving hundreds of thousands of hundreds to reach a level of great understanding, then surely they'll understand the power of leveraging on te success if past men. what this means is that they'll have a much better understanding of WHY they're learning and studying! they're indulging in one of the greatest POWERS on Earth everyday since young!

Action

Teaching our children and students the essence of the great discoveries of the truth, analysis of facts and principles of the world which took its pioneers years to achieve (english, chinese, math, science, speed reading, economics, anything!) in a matter of weeks!

Measure of success in comprehension

Grades (A+ to F) through-

  1. Comprehension & understanding
  2. Retention & recall
  3. Analyse, appreciate & criticise
  4. Application into useful ways
  5. Communicate a variety of ideas
Kids shouldn't be REMINDED of what grades they should strive for; it is ONLY a MEASURE. Non-empowering (using fear of failure and painful emotions) e.g.:
1. why dont you get an A? an A is very important for your future!!! study to get A's!!
2. see? u so fat! u gain xx kg of fats! can u not be so fat?

Instead, remind them about WHY they are studying, and HOW they are making use of one of the greatest POWERS on mother earth: LEARNING to LEVERAGE on the past successes of Mankind and saving tons of hard work, effort and precious time in the process, where they can invest instead to further the course, "make it better" (e.g. research, development), to make it useful for the good of other men (e.g. engineering), or simply spread the goodness of it (e.g. teaching!)

empowering e.g.:
1. u r learning what took some people hundreds of years to discover! its important to study these necessary items (even if you dont like) because these subjects are what we need to survive in this world (e.g. if you don't learn english, forget about being able to play your video games! you won't be able to read and understand them! [specific relevant examples])

2. not being fat gives you... (remind of advantages, short and long-term benefits). how people who have leveraged on Health led awesome lives.
