i respect thinking a lot by doing that A LOT.
'+' Outcome: i have set up a stonger system of discerning choices and catering for Life's contingencies.
'-' Outcome: take too much time to cater to contingencies and ensuring my decisions are the right one! Asking myself 1001 "What if's?"! Worrying too much about fear! Indecisive! Dilematic! Distracted to short term happiness (e.g. tidying table) instead of long term goals cos' i worry about them too much!
Old: "Ya, good idea > er, what if..." X 10, 000 times
(thinking too much about how worse it can be)"
New: "Ya great idea, i can imagine how awesome this will be! > ok, shouldnt be a problem right?" > "Lets do it!"
(Seeing life AS IT IS and how better it can be!)
thinking "Positively" is not about looking at life in a denial way ("oh, the exam is easy" [whether i study or not]). its about looking at life AS IT IS and how it can be better (The exam is going to be challenging, how can i be 100% ready for it to obtain 100% marks?)
Starting TODAY, ask yourself QUESTIONS that ENABLE you, not disable you.
If YOU understand what i'm talking about here, you have learnt something invaluable.
